It was really weird, like I was at some type of fair with rides and everything, but it was one that wasn't that good, and was kinda worn down and not a lot of people or rides. For some reason I was there alone, and I was trying really hard to have a good time, but as time went on I was slowly becoming more and more accepting that I wasn't gonna have a great time, but i was kinda okay with the feeling, just disappointed. At some point I ended up between two fences, one was wooden and behind it was the rest of the fair, and the other was a cemetery made of iron or some type of metal. So I'm standing in between and I see this guy, from what I can tell he's really attractive, muscular arms and nice body, but it's al hidden away in jeans and leather, and his face is hidden away by a dark hood. And for some reason he's looking at me, and even though I can't really see his face, I can tell he's kinda upset about something, sad on my behalf. He turns away from me and begins to talk to someone on the other side of the fence, and it's like he doesn't want to do something.Anyway, So I walk up to him through the gate and say "Hey, it's fine, I'm okay." and he turns to look at me and suddenly I can see he's death, his face is like a lit up skull made of burning soul energy or something. It wasn't scary to me for some reason, and it felt like i was suddenly trying to comfort him. So I ask him to come to the gate and he does. I reach through and pull his face close and slowly we start to kiss, and he kisses me back. And then I'm awake, but im sure that in the dream he was collecting my soul because I had died.
Dreams often reflect our subconscious feelings, thoughts, and experiences. Your dream is rich with symbolism, and here’s an interpretation of the key elements:
Worn-down Fair: The fair represents the potential for joy and excitement, which contrasts with your feelings of disappointment and isolation. This could symbolize areas in your waking life where you feel unfulfilled or where your expectations don’t match reality.
Being Alone: Experiencing the fair alone suggests a sense of solitude or a feeling of being disconnected from others. Despite your efforts to enjoy yourself, you're aware that your circumstances are not ideal. This may reflect feelings of loneliness or difficulties in forming connections in your life.
Fences: The fences can symbolize boundaries or limitations. Being between a fair and a cemetery indicates a tension between life and death, or perhaps the boundaries you perceive in pursuing happiness versus confronting deeper issues.
The Attractive Figure: The man you encountered, especially with features hinting at death, symbolizes the allure and fear of the unknown. His hidden face suggests something that is attractive yet potentially intimidating. His gaze of sadness may represent empathy towards your struggles, indicating that even in difficult situations, there’s a recognition of your pain.
Death and Comfort: The figure of death being non-threatening and connected to your comfort suggests a transformative idea. You seem to reconcile with the concept of death, seeing it not just as an end but as a part of understanding life’s journey. Kissing him could symbolize acceptance of all aspects of life, including loss and change.
Collecting Your Soul: If you sensed that the figure was collecting your soul, it might indicate a transition. This could represent letting go of certain feelings, beliefs, or situations that no longer serve you. Instead of fear, you experienced a sense of comfort, perhaps hinting at an acceptance of change or the end of a chapter in your life.
In summary, your dream appears to explore themes of disappointment, acceptance, and transformation. It suggests you are navigating feelings of loneliness and a need for connection while also confronting deeper existential reflections. Consider how these themes might resonate with your current feelings and life circumstances, and whether there are areas where you seek fulfillment or need to embrace change.
